Raised in the bomb shelters of Beirut, Tamar Da Star is a force not to be reckoned with. Her bold and brassy personality, which she erected while doing gritty roles in San Francisco theater, would shy away any drag queen; and her boobie-licious body would give Sophia Loren a run for her money. This young, post-modern Armenian Bette Midler can belt a tune that would bring a tear to your eye. Her impeccable comedic timing is evident in her various characters that range from Wanda the Cross-Eyed Bimbo to Dominica Vasquez, the White Puerto Rican. Like the title of her one woman show, You’ve Neva Met a Bitch Like Me Befo’.
